Our Mission and Values

Grace House's mission is to provide the highest quality of care possible to women who are experiencing major life problems due to substance use disorders or co-occurring disorders in an environment that preserves and promotes the dignity of the woman served without regard to race, color, creed, gender, economic or social circumstances, or sexual orientation, or national origin.  No woman is denied treatment because of a lack of resources.  Treatment is intended to return her to an acceptable level of spiritual, physical, emotional, social,  and occupational functioning.  Our primary goal is to help each addicted woman and her loved ones  begin a lifelong process of recovery.

Myth:  Addiction is a bad habit; the result of moral weakness and overindulgence.

Fact:  Addiction can be a chronic, life-threatening condition, like hypertension or adult diabetes.  Addiction has roots in genetic susceptibility, social circumstances, and personal behavior.
